WTT: need a stock ep3 airbox in trade for an injen cai
I am taking my car to the dealership to get some warranty work done and I think that the injen cai will void the warranty. so I need the stock airbox. I am willing to trade for all the airbox parts the cai replaces straight across. I bought the car used and the third cylinder is going out at 21,000 miles. Kinda pissed off right now
To be safe take the intake off bro. With that kind of damage you just explained honda may try and wessle their way out of the repair by saying the intake messed it up. Trust me, honda is like that.
I had Acura Care on my rsx-s and after 50k mile it was supposed to kick in. I had bad syncros and there was a service bulletin regarding it. So I took my car back to the dealership and they all love my car. ( JDM parts)
They were already to work on it, but since the basic warranty was over, they had to get a Acura Care tech to ok my car. ( Acura Care is a side company that only deals with extended warranty. Well I take the car in and the Acura Care tech is a dick to every tech at bell acura.
He looks at my car and does not even examine the car. The other techs inform him about the service bulletin and that its a common problem. I even get my redline syn oil put in there ever few months.
He looks at my car and voids my warranty. He said my exhaust, intake, rims, suspension, and even tires voided the warranty and that cause the syncros to go bad completly ignoring the service bulletin. He said the tires were a softer compound and that added stress to the tranny. He even said the larger rims added stress to the tranny and I have DC5R ( rsx-r) rim from honda of japan.
Bell Acura covered me out of thier kindness. Good dealership.
But in the end I learned never to get the extended warranty ( Acura Care, Honda Care) and to always bring the car in stock to avoid any little problems.

You should have Rick James'd that **** at acura tech back the 80's.
I have all my stock airbox stuiff off of my acura I will give to you for your CAI. Should be the same parts I believe.
