timing belt help and others
i have a 00 gsr with 78k on it my timing belts looks like its loose like it somtimes when im makin a right turn sounds like its slaping againt the timing belt cover and also what are the thing you should look for in a worn timing belt o yea and sometimes when i take off in 1st there is like a sqeal noise from my right side it sounds like the brakes are stuck on the rotor or something can someone help me out thx
hrm. if your timing belt was loose enough to slap your valve cover, you probably wouldn't have a operational vechile any more, you would be jumping teeth like crazy. If its only when you turn right you may want to check your axle could have a bad cv joint. The squealing could be your throwout/release bearing, does it only happen when you first let the clutch out when taking off?
sometimes when im not even turning left i can hear that nose it really souns like the blets is hiting the lower part of the cover if u look at it from the side the timing belt has some play in it and i just had all the bearings changed in my tranny yea it only does it when i let go of the clutch in first gear and if i hit second good you can hear if for a second just like a quik sqeak
