Default Temperature Guage Gone Bad! What Are Possible Solutions?

My temerature guage on my cluster recently began reading hot all the time, even on a cold start. This is my 3rd Honda and I have never encountered this before. Is this common on a 5th gen. Prelude or is it just a part going bad at 100,000? I'm hoping that someone else has enountered this so they could give me the head's up on whether it's the guage, sensor, or the sending unit?
Thank's!

get a multimeter on the sensor see what reading it gives then compare that to another 3G Prelude's Then if its thesamereading then you know its the gauge vice versa, Just an Idea.
