Default I have left the darkside....

Well.. I ditched the turbo setup on my car. Soon to be for sale is a Drag 3 kit and an AEM EMS for an ITR. My goal this time is to run 200whp all motor daily driven.

The current parts I have laying around:

Skunk2 Stage 1
Skunk2 Cam Gears
AEM FPR
AEM Fuel Rail
450cc Injectors
3inch cat-back (from my previous turbo setup )
b16 Pistons

What I plan to get:

AEM CAI
a good header
Hondata
TUNING TUNING TUNING

Now I'm not sure what the pistons will bump me up to but I'm thinkin around the 11.ish

Is there anything else that you guys might recommend? I need some advice. I've been searching all over to build a right setup. Thanks

you could always go with CTR or JDM ITR pistons.... I have the JDM ITR pistons, but if I did it all again I would go with CTR.

Ultimately... If I was to do it again I would just over bore to 2.0l and make mad torque

If you are going to take the time to swap out pistons.. with all work you will be doing to do it right... I would just go 2 litre and call it a day... A nice p and p on the head is also one of your best upgrades.. Good luck and welcome back to the expensive and tedious world of NA

yeah, definately keep the EMS- much more tuning flexibility than the Hondata

keep aem ems for tuning, no point in getting rid of it if you already have it. my goal is the same as yours, i would like to hit 200whp or a lil over for a daily driven R. not sure of my mods but i don't have the cash to do it all at once so i'll wait. good luck with the set up!

CTRs bump the compression a tad too much... but the JDM ITR just isnt enough. I figured that p30s are just about right. Around the 11.ish. Higher compression isnt necessary to make power. It helps to tap out the potential of aggressive cams. So basically having a 12.4 compression from CTRs isnt gonna help especially with 91 octane unless you're planning on getting any bigger cams and big bore. But then again, you'd be forced to use custom pistons.

Get a toda header, and ditch the aem cai. Get an icebox or j's. I'm biased because I'm not a fan of the aem throttle response and the J's makes power PERIOD.

200whp shouldn't be a problem with the stg1's granted your motor is healthy and running how it should be.

I can make you a fairly inexpensive set of ITB's if you want.

LOL! I think my beer bottle ITB's are great, much better than those damn GSXR 1000 setups that I make.

I don't know about the 200 whp shouldn't be a probem.. If someone can tune me and get 200 whp with no problem go right on ahead... I think its going to be hard with out a port and polished head. I know numbers are numbers but I have stage ones tuned with hondata and only made whats below in my sig.

What kind of dyno was it? 175 is pretty low... I've known and seen gsrs make 180+ with stg1s and this was just I/H/E fpr and vafc2.

I had no choice. I just called my friend and he bolted the head down with the headgasket and put the low compression pistons in already! Oh well... I guess I really can't leave the darkside.
