Hey guys, to those of you with a Pilot or is thinking about getting one, which one do you guys have or would choose, EX or LX?

Like, is the EX worth $2-3000 more?

Thanks in advance for your info...

The Pilot is a pretty hot seller and I predict that you'll get back most of the difference in price between an LX and EX when it comes time to resell an EX. However, if you're not interested in that the LX is very well-equipped and you may be able to get a bit more of a discount on it versus an EX.

i agree with resale value. all honda models being EX.. are always going to be sought after (used cars) more over then lx versions.

list the ex upgrades over the lx, and YOU decide if the price of the "upgrades" are well worth it. imo, i would opt for an ex.

heres' what honda states about the line up for pilot.

LX | Starting at $27,100.00
The 2004 Pilot, designed and built by Honda, is the perfect SUV to get you to your outdoor adventure with style and comfort. The standard 240-hp VTEC® V-6 engine and Variable Torque Management 4-wheel drive system (VTM-4®) provide all the power and agility you'll need, plus up to 4,500 lbs of towing capacity when properly equipped. Four-wheel disc brakes with an anti-lock braking system (ABS) and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), a 4-wheel independent suspension and 16" wheels ensure a supple ride on or off road. And convenience features like power windows and door locks, front and rear air conditioning and cruise control guarantee that you won't be completely roughing it.

Automatic Transmission: $27,100.00

EX | Starting at $29,470.00

For that extra bit of refinement, the Pilot EX is the sure choice. It adds a synchronized front and rear automatic climate control system, upgraded interior fabric, an AM/FM/Cassette/CD audio system with 7 speakers (including subwoofer) and the HomeLink® remote system. A security system with remote entry helps to keep your Pilot safe, and roof rails and 16" alloy wheels add style to an already good-looking SUV.

Automatic Transmission: $29,470.00

EX with Leather | Starting at $30,870.00
Those looking for luxury at a reasonable price can opt for a leather-trimmed interior. Front and second-row seats are trimmed with supple, durable leather. Heated front seats and heated dual power mirrors keep things toasty and clear. A leather-wrapped steering wheel tops off this luxurious package.

Automatic Transmission with Leather: $30,870.00

EX with Leather and Honda DVD Entertainment System | Starting at $32,370.00
If you want to bring a home-theater system with you, you can equip your Pilot EX with the factory-integrated DVD entertainment system. A 7" screen folds out from the ceiling to allow rear passengers to watch DVD programming, or (if you bring some along) play video games. Front passengers can listen to their own audio program while those in back can use the two sets of wireless headphones to enjoy the DVD system. A hand-held remote control makes operating the DVD player easy and convenient.

EX with Leather and Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™ | Starting at $32,870.00 Imagine taking your Pilot coast to coast without once unfolding a map. You can do that with this top-of-the-line Pilot EX. The Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™ will even track your movements if you travel on unmarked roads. Its off-road tracking system monitors your movements and records a set of dots on the screen to mark your path. When it's time to return home, simply follow the dots back to road. A 4.7-gigabyte DVD-based memory bank also stores the location of ATMs, restaurants and other places of interest for you so you can find virtually anything while you're away from home.

MSRP excluding tax, license, registration, $490 destination charge and options. Dealer prices may vary.

for the 2-3g's you're talking about.. i'd get the ex. the alloy's, security, climate control are well worth it.
