why is my car so slow?
i did the 1/4 mile today
got 4 runs in
my best was 16.7
i was hopping off the launch though but its still the best run
i just have a full body kit with spoiler (weight) and a SRI
that is all
it is a 93 VTEC prelude
i got upto 82mph
i did a compression test and it was 200 across all cylinders
so what do you think could it be? i mean even with a good launch it was only 0.2seconds slower to 60'
what the helllllllll....!!!!!!

i am thinking it is the clutch
because i can't even chirp into 2nd gear easily...even if i do which is rare, it is such a little chirp...=/
ahhhhhh
tune up?
tuned on a dyno with vafc? what will help?
i have 170k on my motor. that is km

Are you shifting at the indicated red line? If you are, and you're not using your entire powerband, you might be too slow by the time you get into 3rd gear.

Holy cow... either 1. Something's wrong with your car. 2. You need more practice at the track.
I ran a 14.1 @ 104mph with I/E...on my USDM spec motor (110,000 mi.) This was on Nitto 555's

For a VTEC that is kinda slow. I've got an S (F22 non-VTEC) and took it to the track the other night and ran a 17.056 @ 79.7 and that was the first time I've ever driven a track. All I've done to it is an exhaust. That run was with a full trunk (subs, amp, etc.) and a full tank of gas.

I see a couple things off the bat....
Your 60ft times are horrible. Either you cant drive, or you had no traction, or your wheels and tires weigh a ton. But a decent 60ft time is 2.2, so your giving up in some cases, a full 1 second in the quarter mile with those 2.7 60' times.
Your MPH are very low as well. Either you shift extremely slow, your car weighs a ton, or your car is down on power, 200 compression or not, check your timing, spark plug gaps, make sure your distributor is good as well.
Get rid of the bodykit, dual exhaust and the 17" wheels and if everything is in good working order, you might hit a 15.0

Get rid of that dual exhuast and other stuff (wing) that is really just slowing you down. PRACTICE DRIVING@%#!@% to get that 2.7 down.
And practice shifting. Check your cap/rotor/dist as everyone else said. OR Just take your car and drop it off at the dealer and pay for a tune up. Prolly worth it.

Damn 16's in a VTEC model.
If you want to run faster than 16's do the **** below
Check everything listed in the above post's.
Stripped your car like seats, spare ect.
Have no more than a quarter tank of gas.
get some lighter rims.
Pratice shifting and lanching.

my car is more for show so im not going to get rid of the duals and rims
but ill try to put on my stock rims next time and see what happens
would it be ok to do the full tune up before the 192k?

i don't think its the shifting
its the launching and the rims
=/
they are so heavy
could it also be my clutch? because i couldnt chirp when i put my stock rims back on either so i just left the 17's on
