92-95 civic hood

my boy has a 92 hatch and recently got a new hood... the new hood is perfect except that it hits the radiator....anywun kno wat might cause this...could it be that the hood is for a coupe or a 4dr??

the coupe hood is identical to the hatch hood
it may be from a sedan 4dr but i still would not understand why it would hit the radiator
