Default What do you guys think of my turbo intake?

3" SS pipe with a 45 degree bend, paint and an Apexi filter and CUSTOM intake flange. The black coupler was from atpturbo.com and its a 3" hump hose.

Comments Welcome!

Looks good, man. I'd throw a heatshield behind it to keep the hot radiator air from going straight into the filter.

thanks guys, it was easy just 2 cuts on my saw and same paint and 2 or 3 test fits. It was cheap and it works great, plus I had no other room to put a filter, so I lucked out

Looks good What kind of paint is that? It looks nice

I also have the Apex filter and I love it, I don't have as much room as you, so I just bought a 90 deg silicone elbow and it sits on to the right of the radiator hose sticking straight up. The flange I have it plastic so I just conected it directly to the 90 deg coupler.

Fredo I knew you had this same filter before, but how did you have it before?

haha thanks, I painted the motor before I dropped her in with high temp paint from home depot. Lots of people say it might flake off and stuff, but we'll see.

Let me see if I can answer the questions:

Yes we all know the motor is clean

The Silicone Coupler wont melt as far as I know, I had them with the greddy kit and they were fine after 23k miles, and they were in the same location.

I had the crappy greddy intake that came with the 00 Si kit.

Sweet...nothing beats custom. I jock the apex filter too. But let's give credit where credit is due. The IN LINE PRO manifold rules. I have the same one on my 99 Si turbo. Oh and great choice on the ride and color.

I got the flange from VTEC69, try looking on ebay for a $10-15 knock off air filter and rip the filter off it and use the metal at the end.

You guys want me to take a pic with out the filter mounted to get a better idea?
