I have skunk2 coilovers on my 97 dx and they ride just fine! I know the accord guide said these are crap, but I am very happy how my 'cord rides. Every one I know that has skunk2s likes them.

The accord guide does not show you everything you will ever need to know about suspension...it's more of a review actually, and a review that is biased in my opinion...it's basically stating that the more expensive a product is, the better it is, which is actually far from the truth...also, the grammar of the BASIC GUIDE is horrible and needs revision...

actually, the skunk2 coilovers are very good for the accord and very stiff...they will blow most stock shocks, though, because of their spring rates...even though they aren't priced high, they do perform quite well...
check out http://www.accordinglydone.com for more technical details of the accords suspension...there are many accord gurus over there who have proven themselves in various different categories (drag racing, USTCC winner, autoXers etc) and their setups are proven to be good...

nick h, the thing is, I am not honda god or anything close.
I dont even know how to change the motor oil couple years ago.
of course I am not as knowledgeable as most of the guy out there, why? beside that I am only 18 years of age, I am still learning my stuffs. I am debating should i get my ase or not. I study graphic design in school if any of you is wondering.
and of course it's some arbitrary judgment, I written it with my experiences and ideas. Like you said before, the guideline should be something that help someone to pick the best products of their interest, not as the ultimate do or die "code of honor".
I am sorry for the bad grammar but guess how many people spend their time and effort to serve other. I dont get pay for all this, i dont even have to do all this. The reasons i wrote the guideline pretty obvious. Not to mention English is not my first language.
Not to have beef with anyone here, I am all saying is read the guide line if you wish, if not, click on the X and save your sweet time.

Come on Nick...it was his first post and even though the guide may need some revisions it is still a great source for some general info. I wasnt saying that he should base his decision off of it but more to just get an idea.
If you have some info to add to the guide that would be great too
iam7head did that piece on his own time for us to help out HT...If you have some ideas to add that would be awesome that more the better thats what its for.

alright alright, sorry if that was a little cruel to the authors of the basic accord section, but some of the ideas are a little off, and the grammar does need adjusted just to make it a little more professional...i don't have beef with anyone on the internet because i don't get in arguments online...just merely stating my general opinion...
if i ever have the time, i will contribute some articles to the ins and outs of suspension setups on the accord...the accord is much more potent than most would think and is actually quite the racecar...it has many titles under its belt in japan and now in america too...
