A6 and Y8. Head provides a little more compression than the Z6 and is newer, so most likely lower mileage.

Lower displacement. Unless somehow its an even higher compression ratio, its got a .1l to catch up. Any displacement you get is good in our engines.

the dx motor has 9.6:1 compression..the A6 only has 9:1.

The d15 has a better rod to stroke ratio..ill be it minimal..but its still better..and d15's are alot easier to find.

id go with the d15/y8 combo..but im partial

Is that compression change from block or head design? I think it should be noted that a z6 or y8 head will increase compression, does it do it the same on the d15?

Also, if it does raise the comp similarly in both, will a .6 comp difference be similar to a .1l difference.

I dont think you get as high of a CR with a d15 block. With a Honda headgasket d16y8 head with a a6 block it should push out 11.2:1 CR. I am not too for sure about the .6 compression difference.

you will not get less compression just becuz its a 1.5L. Honestly i see no difference in a 1.5 and 1.6. The only difference between a dx motor and an si motor internally is the cams, and a lil higher compression in the 1.5's. that is all.
