How much for 00 and 01 Rs?
I got mine for only 19 flat, and it's an 00, with only 15k miles on it. Aren't you the same guy who just got his R stolen from in front of his house? If so, don't get another ITR, and run the chance to get it stolen again. But if you really want the ITR, then I guess there's not much I can say. I admit it's an awesome car. If you ever find out who did it, email me, I'll probably be over in Covina pretty soon to visit my sister, I'll personally come over and help you beat some ***.
I got mine with 6000 miles for 24K
WHAAAAAAT!!??? Thay said there wouldne be ant more R's made!!!!!
Actually, I would have paid more..this car IS worth it!

Yeah, I noticed they never had a price for the ITR on KBB. Anybody know why they don't? One of my friends got his 98 ITR stolen a couple of years ago, and they reemburst him for the KBB GSR value, because there was no price for the ITR. Now, ain't that a bitch?

Not enough of them are sold on the used market to meet their minimums. They are all stolen, or totaled at the race track. ( and their limited production doesnt help either.)
Cyrio, IM Austin, he might be able to give you some pointers....
Who ever settled on a GSR price for an ITR was not the smartest...He let his insurance bend him over...ITS NOT even the same car...

I'll probably be down there around the Holiday time. Thanks for offering, but my sister will show me around. It's going to be weird *** hell to not see snow on Christmas. I'll probably spend more time in L.A, than I will spend in Covina. Maybe we can get together, and help Cyrio whoop some ***, if he finds out who did it.
From what have seen on this board and itrca.com, 2000 ITRs typically have asking prices of $22k with less than 20k miles; 2001 owners ask for $23.5k typically.
However, if you look at cars.com, autotrader, com and classifieds2000.com you will see prices that go all the way to $30k for these cars. I doubt anybody will get close to $30k.
However, you may wish to show these latter numbers to your insurance company.
Print them out and give them some malarkey about how rare the Type-R is. I'd be interested to know what they give you.

I thought that the value of the ITR came from the market? Just like the APR on loans/credit cards. I know that, if my ITR ever got stolen and please, God for bid this from happening. I would talk to the Acura dealership and ask them how much would they sell the car for. Their was a White ITR at South Coast Acura dealership in California going for 22000 with 18000 miles on it and it had some little wear and tear on it to. So, the KBB and Black book that the banks use as a guide for loans is BS for the value of the car. I guess, it's all about supply and demand for the product.
Cal - Who would get four different Market Value prices from the Acura Dealership for the ITR.

Blazin ITR> I thought that the value of the ITR came from the market?
Yes it does. And KBB compiles these market prices. I'm not sure what your point is.
The reason KBB does not have data for 2000 and 2001 Type-Rs is probably because there have been too few of them sold to date to generate a statistically valid number.

Some people on this board have been through what we're talking about when we claim the ITR as a total lost and the insurance companies gives you the GS-R rate. That happened to two people when their ITR got stolen.
You might be right, which is why I suggested using online classifieds. Print them out and present them to the insurance company.

Type-Rs must have one of the lowest depreciations of any car in the US. Many '00s are nearly two years old at this stage and yet are selling for only $2k or so under original MSRP. Cool.
Though, I guess the '99/'00 Civic Si is even better. It seems to have appreciated slightly. The release of the new Si next year may change this however.
