I have a 95 auto LS with a short ram intake, a HKS super dragger exhaust and 17 inch Konig monsoons. I ran my car at Englishtown for the first time today and i hoped for maybe high 16's. Shiiittttt, my best time turns out to be a 17.631. DOOOHHHHHHH.

First, it's an auto, and second, it's an LS. Sell it, and get an manual LS, and turbocharge the bitch, and hit your 13's all day long.

 

The thing is, i've heard of some bone stock auto ls's hitting at least high 16's
but i'm hitting high 17's !!!

 

it takes a lot to get a car even a half second faster. Youre gonna need alot of work done my friend.

 

yup our cars are slow. and turbo is a good idea since u have a LS. u can still turbo charge your auto. being hearing of ppl running turbos with thier stock trannies.

 

are you shifting the automatic or you just letting the centripical force do the shifting for you?

 

Maybe a better launch would help. Hold down on the brake, floor it, and take off around 2500rpms. It'll give you a much better launch..

no seriously, in addition to everyone else's comments, i think the 17's are actually making you go slower. put back on your stockers and see if it makes a difference.

 

i got a 92 ls manny and i run 16.3 all day with 17's and full interior and what not...all i have is a cheap intake and dc exhaust...oh did i mention my clutch is shot too...oh well i hear that if you turbo a auto its actually a lil quicker then a manny cuz you dont have to let off the gas and you dont lose boost...thats just what i hear

 

stock honda auto trannies and turbo don't mix very well together. Before you know it that tranny will be slippin like no other...

 

yup, thats why there are high performance auto trannies and torque convertors.

 

get rid of those damn 17s...sell those get some 15's...get a 60 shot of nos...and you'll see high 15's...get a torque converter...$500 plus labor...take out spare tire...lower your front tires to about 22psi...get a header...4-2-1...better mid range power...since u have an auto tranny...longer gear ratios...

 

No, that's why you swap in a manual tranny. I ran a 16.9 in my 90 RS bone stock back in the day, when it was auto.
