idle problem...reset ecu didnt work
guys, i really need your help here. i've been having an idle problem for a few weeks now. i read around the forum and was told resetting the ECU would help. i did that and it's still idleling crazy. not as high as before (1k-3k up and down), but still goes up and down and does not stay steady. would switching the computer work. the car is a 93, but i have a 95 ecu from my other car. would that be good to do? would it mess anything up? i wanna try my options before i go pay the mechanic guy to plug something in and tell me something i could have done myself. what about a sensor? im a noob with engine work, so i need to know everything. what's a cel? what codes are what? where would i find the code? my check engine light is not on. please help soon.
I'm kinda a noob here too but here's a site that tells you who to check cel codes.
