Have you checked under your hood yet???

Are you saying you can engage any gears what so ever???

Have you checked the pedals yet???

Might want to give a few more specifics.

ya i opened the hood everything seems to be fine... the clutch pedal feels extremely loose like theres no cable hooked to it...and i cant put it in the gear w/ the car running b/c it grinds... so i put it in neutral and rolled it in the garage....

Burned Clutch??? Happened on my EF2 and that's how I got my car. Was Driving one day and tried to shift into second and clutch went down but couldn't get any gear!

Clutch might be gone!!! Time for replacement.

Was my uncle's stated if I could change the head gasket, clutch and tie rod ends the car was mine. As a former Nissan owner, I didn't know much about Civics. Learning experience and I will never let this car go now!

Check under the steering column and follow your clutch all the way up. It might have come disconnected. If the cable looks fully intact then you clutch is most likely gone!

sounds like you snaped a cable. have someone push in the clutch while you look at the clutch arm if it doesn't move, your cable is shot. if the clucth was wasted you wouldn't be able to drive it. Replace the cable

SIRX is right also, cause if the clutch is burned then you wouldn't have been able to drive in Second the whole way home. Hopefully it's just the Cable.

If the clutch has failed you can drive it and speed shift without disengaing the clutch. Most likely the disk came apart and wedged the cushion springs (the four or six springs in the disk) in the pressure plate.

SIRX you can drive with the clutch engaged all the time it is just difficult and when you come to a stop you must turn the engine off put it in gear then start the car. It is rare that a cable will fail without lots of warning.

Be sure to lubricate the release bearing arm. Remobve If you do not the brand new clutch may slip and burn it up in short order.
