did type R stop a production year?

i heard they stop production of type R in 1 yr? is that true? what yr did they stop production and when did it come back? is it 99?

The stopped production in US in 99' yes, then started again in 2000.

The ITR was produced for the US market in 97, 98, 00, and 01

Yes, only USDM was stopped in 1999. Was still available north of the border in Canada that year only (for North America atleast

)

Because they weren't selling all that well.

Which is probably because they were only available in boring white...

If they were available in Canada in '99, production was never really stopped, was it?
