Default Bypass pioneer video saftey/e-brake feature???

How do you bypass the ebrake/saftey feature for their in dash screens and dvd changers? Ive got an alpine unit installed already with a push switch and a toggle switch. Ive heard all you have to do is ground the ebrake wires coming from the pioneer units. Can someone clear this up for me?

just ground the wire-- my kvt was green and i just wired it to my gound but i think this is why i get engine noise now-- maybe try getting a solid ground.

Yes, just ground the parking brake wire coming off of the main unit. This will not cause engine noise.

will this work for the headunit, brain, and the dvd changer? They all have parking brake leads.

Not to **** on your parade..but why are you trying to disable the
safety interlocks? Granted its a simple task for anyone who can read a
schematic, but they do have a purpose. The manufactures have them
in place for a reason...for the general public's safety. Trust me on this
one...you crash with it disabled, you will be OWN3D !!!.

Please don't give lawmakers more reasons to take what little freedoms
we have left away from us.

I am not trying to start a flame war...plus the info was already given to you.
I just trying to get you to see the much larger picture. What you may not
know was /////Alpine and a few other manufactures were involved in a
class action lawsuit that was settled in the last few years ( ever wonder
why alpine never came out with an IDV dvd player until recently..thats
your answer
). The interlocks were the outcome. If you get caught
with video playing in view of the driver while the vehicle is in motion...
lets just say that will be the last thing on your mind. I was in traffic court
a few weeks ago...one case was a guy who had an suv with screens all over
all were operational. he was rearended at a light so hard he hit the vehicle in
front of him. Based on our convo his outcome so far:
Vehicle was impounded, charged $8K in fines, plus he was being sued by
both parties.

Have fun

yes just ground the wires, on any pioneer(believe they are light green) or kenwood(dark green ) and it will play, pac also makes a bypass for your alpine , so u dont have to play the toggle game, where i used to work in boston , we would get a ton of customers that had just came from local big stores, cause they were refused when they wanted to get there brake bypass feature done , **** we picked up a ton of buisness for doing it. We just had a very nice disclamer at the bottom stating the work performed blah blah blah , was for a show car not to be driven on public roads blah blah.

best thing ever made for installers
