OK so i have heard a lot about this tire and its supposed to be the next best thing....but it looks like a show tire to me.... is it supposed to take a chunk out of the azenis sales or what...is it really any good!!!

NASHVILLE, Tenn.– (November 4, 2003) – The Fuzion™ ZRi, a tire designed specifically for the enthusiast and tuner markets, is being introduced by Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire, LLC (BFNT) at the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show this week (Booth #41917). The Fuzion ZRi, a new brand of tire from BFNT that addresses this fastest growing segment in the performance tire market, will be available to retail customers in spring 2004.

“We are very excited about the new Fuzion brand of tires,” said Phil Pacsi, executive director, North American Consumer Tire Brand Marketing, BFNT. “This is our first tire designed specifically to appeal to the tuner market segment.”

The new W- V- and H-speed rated Fuzion ZRi features a directional tread pattern for great looks and optimum handling. The tire launch will be backed with a major marketing initiative, including a new Web site, http://www.thefuzionzone.com, complete with an exciting interactive on-line racing game, Pacsi added.

The tire, which is engineered with the company’s exclusive UNI-T® technology, will be available in more than 30, 16- to 20-inch, 30- to 60-series sizes.

UNI-T is an acronym for “Ultimate Network of Intelligent Tire Technology” found only in Bridgestone, Firestone, Dayton and select associate brand tires. One of its core technologi
es is a Computer Optimized Component System, CO•CS®, which uses a super computer to help determine an ideal combination of tread design, casing shape, materials and construction for a particular application.

Tires with UNI-T have a special O-Bead® that eliminates overlapped joints in the bead assembly, improving the way a tire interacts with the rim, and providing a rounder assembly for improved stability.

The use of L.L. Carbon®, or Long Link Carbon, an advanced form of carbon black, produces a stronger tire, better able to resist cracking, chipping, tearing and excessive wear.

 

wow... wonder if its gonan be less noisy than the azenis

 

Def. doesn't look as grippy as the azenis... Looks like more of an all weather tire to me...

 

i got a set i am just waiting on getting my other 2 rims to get them all mounted.. glad my roomate works at tires plus so i got a great deal... and then he told me that since they were just released in the US last friday and they can be found few and far between and most places are on a 3 month back order

but the tire is supposed to be comprable to the TOYO proxie

i can't wait to find out how nice they are.. but you have to remember the azenias are more of a auto cross tire not for rain.. where as the fuzions are for all types of weather.. hell they are comming from bridgestone

yeah they are the tires they used on PIMP my RIDE and i heard they were really nice tires...

i love that show...too bad west coast customs dont mod motors and ****..just show stuff..

You can't determine the qualty of a tire just by mere "looks." Take the eagle F1's for example possibly the best performing tire on the open market today and it looks like some little kid took a knife to it.

yeah...

 

I guess we'll have to wait and see how it performs.....then all questions will be answered

 

i can't wait til i get them on so i can let you know if the tires perform as good as they are said to be

 

how much did they run you and what size

 

like i said i got a great deal from my roomate so i got them alot cheaper than most will get them but paid less than $300 for all 4 mounted balanced and road hazzard and lug nuts

tire size was 205/50/16

 

not bad

 

the 2 slipstreams that i have 2 of them mounted on look nice and beefy.. they seem pretty sticky 2 espically for being 340 treadware and it was than $300 i just can't say what i paid so i don't get him in any kind of trouble

 

cool. maybe ill try one out too

 

look more like a show type of tire that might preform so-so

 

im gettin some tires and the wheel place tried to sell me some..but i told them i dont know. i want the azenis but those r some nice tires..dont know yet...

 

with an H rating- I think I'll stay with the lesser of two evils...

 

so, its basically a cheaper bridgestone tire?

 

the dont offer them in a 15
