pros and cons of falken azenis?
i just got a set of these tires and i would like to know the pros and cons. i know there realy good (grippy) tires, but i want to know how well they are in the rain and anyother application that they would come in contact with. thanks for the replies!
I would have to say, if it's raining, be super careful. Especially as the tires start to wear down.
They are not all season tires, therefore, will not perform in all seasonal conditions.
Snow is an absolute No-No.
I don't know if it would be considered a Con, but the treadwear is only 200AA on them. Which means, don't expect to get 30k miles out of them. lol
I've yet to encouter any real problems with mine yet...I've only had them a little over a month or so.
They've seen 1 track experience = AWESOME!
I've taken them out in the rain, but I don't get on it, so I don't slide everywhere.
I guess that's about the extent of my experiences so far.
They are, undoubtedly, the best bang for the buck!

Pros would definitely be traction. I spent a long time looking for a tire that will hook and be affordable and last a decent amount of time compared to drag radials, and these are it. They grab very nicely.
Cons, I would say so far are road noise and weight. Theyre heavy as ****.

Azenis are one of the best and cheapest upgrade IMO. I got mine in 205/50/15 for 280 shipped to my door. Just dont be a dumbass in the rain thats all.. the pros out weigh the cons
here's a pro,
i had a flat tire... i wasnt aware at the time but the sidewall is so stiff i was able to ride on it to my destination.

They are. The are some of the best tires I've driven on for dry and wet conditions.

My azenis aren't that loud, noticeable, but noticeable. Also, I don't understand what everyone talks about how azenis are so bad in the rain. I don't know about ya'll but I dont drive my car hard in the rain, around 90 degree turns and so forth, so I don't even see why it would matter. Now snow is a different story, cause even going up a little hill, I had trouble moving forward and not rolling backwards
All in all, I like them, and may or may not get that as my next tires...

I agree. Other tires, like the ES100 will grip much better in the rain. But if you drive conservatively the Azenis are safe enough to drive in rain. Just avoid standing water!
One time it was pouring rain and it was late so very few cars on the freeway. I was taking my time going about 60, went over a puddle and could feel it come loose very quickly. Azenis are meant as a summer tire so just be safe in the rain and don't bother in the snow

The Azenis? Yea, I'm running the 205-50-15 on my Bronze C10's. I'm really happy with them and just waiting until I can drive my car again and then I'm hitting some autox and hopefully Buttonwillow soon.
