To anybody wanting awesome components...
I just installed some Vifa tweeters and 6.5" woofers in my Civic with custom crossovers. Best speakers I've ever heard. I've got the Tweeter running from the headunit, approx 17w RMS with a 12db high pass xover (air core inductor and metallized poly cap).
The woofer is a new 6.5" from Vifa's autosound line. Very nice, using a custom xover again, with an air core inductor and standard np electrolytic cap and resistor running from a Punch 500x.
Honestly the sound quality with these speakers is way up there, and I doubt you could get a better setup for under $200, if that (not to mention that the xovers use crap components, even with speakers that cost that much).
If anybody is interested, I might be able to supply these as kits or at least build and supply the xovers for you to use with these drivers.
The only downside is the woofers are actually a bit bigger than 6.5" and I'm going to need a spacer or I'll need to cut some of the door sheet metal for them to fit
but for the way these sound, it's worth it.

Can't remember off the top of my head the exact driver, but it's from their Autosound series. They only make one 1" silk dome tweeter, so that one's not hard to find.
They're just tweeters....they really don't need more than 10w or so. The woofers run from the Punch. Either way, the bi-amp setup lets you run more power to each driver. Since I'm using passive xovers the tweeter is probably getting more power than it would connected with the woofer to the amp, since the woofer and it's xover arent't sucking up a bunch of power.
Of course for purists, you can get a few elec. xovers and run a seperate amp channel for each tweeter and woofer. Personally I doubt I could tell enough difference to justify the cost. I'm all about getting the best for less. Hey, if I can have speakers that sound better than MB Quarts for 1/3 the cost, sweet!
