Mugen or Spoon steering wheel?
im thinking about getting either a spoon or mugen steering wheel and after being on diffrent sites it says for NONSRS steering wheels only. Does this mean that you can only mount it on a car with out srs steering wheels or you can but, there just wont be a airbag?
You can put one in a car that has an SRS wheel. But, the Mugen and Spoon wheels do not have air bags, therefore, you are losing that option.
why spend the money though? you could just get a MOMO and take the rest of the money you were going to spend and get some performace parts.... just food for thought

Good food for thought...my response to that is, certain items you don't see everyday, nor will you ever. So it is kinda cool to get certain things and be able to say you have them. That's all. Atleast for me anyways.
Like the Spoon gauge clusters...they cost an arm and a leg! But it would be cool to have one I guess.
Ya know what i mean?

not really....
I'm one to spend 2k on cams that are proven to make power then to spend 2k on a gauge cluster cause it lights up like a christmas tree- all pretty and shiny... but that's me-
To answer your original question- the non SRS wheel can go into any car that is SRS or not SRS equipped. All the non SRS means is that the wheel itself does not have an airbag. It is important to note that taking out a SRS system is illegal and you should have some way to prove that the system was out of the car when you got it... should questions arise at a later time.

Well, different strokes for different folks...right ? It seems that you are 100% dedicated to the performance of your engine. No problem with that at all.
I like to do both, performance, and still add a touch of "pizazz" for lack of a better term
As far as the air bag removal, if it was gone when you got it, then someone would've had to taken it ou, right ? lol Which, according to you, would've been illegal.
Now, laws very from state to state, and I am only about 98% sure of this, but i'm pretty sure here it is legal for the owner of the car to remove his/her airbag. But it is illegal for a dealership or mechanic to do so.
like I said, only about 98% sure, but I'd have to check some documentation for sure.

I removed my air bags- and got pulled over.. mind you this was about two years ago- The cop was all over me about not having an SRS sytem in my car, when it came stock from the factory with one. I told him- look jack ***... it wasn't in the car when I got it and I'm not about to spend all kinds of money just to make it stock. Aftermarket parts have FIA ratings and are safer than the stock parts they replace (referring to my harness at this point). He then wanted to know about FIA ratings and what not- after a bit of education he said- OK I see now... you're right.... here's a ticket for speeding and nothing else- have a good one...
Just want you to be safe and avoid bullshit at all costs...

This is precisely why I bought a Nardi steering wheel.

Any aftermarket wheel is generally the same. In fact Spoon Sports' wheel is just a Momo Monte Carlo with red stiching and the equivalent of a $150 "Spoon Sports" horn button, I ain't hating though because I bought one
. But, its all about personal pref. SRS or not, you may have an as**ole cop who thinks ANY wheel besides stock is bad. Also, why does the Mugen FG-360 (I think thats the name) costs SO MUCH. Yes, I know that its OOP but still, it isn't THAT nice. Me personally, I would pick up a Nardi/Personal wheel, or a Momo Mod 78

Suede wheels own me
