Ok. My buds 88 integra gs's tranny blew up yesterday. I don't know much about the older integras, so any help would be cool. Is there a different tranny he can put on his car to get better acceration? I think most d-series trannys will bolt up to it, right? So any tranny off any d-series motor will work? Please let me know, becasue im going to look for a tranny for him, and i want to be able to look for any tranny that will work, even a tranny off a honda (any honda with a d-series tranny will work too, right?) please help me out here. Just give me a list of tranny that will fit on his car(list of vehicals and years) and which tranny will be better for his becasue he wants better accereation. If anyone has a tranny for sale, all the better.

 

The only tranny that will bolt up correctly is a 86-89 Integra tranny. D series will fit on the motor, but the mounts are in different locations so it won't work. You have to replace it with the same model tranny.

that or a ZC tranny. Just get one from a junk yard g1teg .

 

one problem, there are no junk yards around here with the tranny I need, this is why i asked if any other tranny would work. Does anyone on here have one or know of a junk yard around your area which i could buy it from you if you got it from the junk yard?
