I'm not too sure about what you should do, however, I do have a p28 for sale. Let me know if you want it

p30 is obd1 and the pr3 is obd0. I would convert and use an OBD1 ecu.

the easiest option would be to find an OBD0 (PR3) ecu and just run that. it will work fine for an N/A motor. however, if you have plans of forced induction later down the road, theres a good chance you will want OBD1 so that you can run a system like Uberdata through a chipped ECU (OBD1 only). its up to you, so base your decision on what you plan do to with the car.

Convert your ride to OBD1 and save your-self the headache's, and get a chiped p28. Anyways it will be worth the money spent in the long run. I would suggest getting your hands on a OBD1 PR3 if you can there very nice. Atleast I like my a lot!! Go obd1 its the way to go.

why would you go ghetto and run a chipped P28 when the proper ecu is a p30?

because you could chip the P28 and basically make it work exactly like a P30 (minus the knock sensor maybe).

if your car is obd0, then might as well get an obd 0 pr3 ecu....if you do convert to obd1, then yes, you can run a chipped p28 or a p30, or even a pr3 if you could find them.

You have no clue do you. There are many people on this board running chipped P28 ecus with great success. Many people on this forum are running my harness with a chipped P28 with great success. The P28 ecus are readily available and cheaper. I have seen cars pickup 10whp just from going from a Pr3 to the "ghetto" chipped P28 and no more changes. Don't spread that garbage around here.

All the dyno's of chipped p28's are lies. I'm really sick of hearing they dont work. They work have for years and will continue. Not everyone has money for dyno tuning and hondata. that maybe the best route but for 20-30 bucks for a chip that makes power why not

NOT MINE!!! Click on my vouch thread and you'll see my dyno sheet posted by the guy who personally dynoed my car. We plugged in a stock ecu, then plugged in my custom all motor chipped p28.....the gains dont lie!
