Default swapping prelude brakes to a Eg

my 94 coupe currently has braided ss lines. stoc ex front and GSR rear discs. if I were to change all four corners to 93 preludes, would my SS lines still work? I am assuming I need teh whole hub assembly from the lude. thanks

I haven't heard of anyone trying to adapt the full blown Prelude rear brake system onto any civic - as in fitting the complete rear prelude trailing arm etc. I don't think it will work, the prelude rear trailing arm's geometry is more than likely, totally different in spec than a civic's rear trailing arm system. I could be wrong though, as I've personally never tried this though.

You do have other options though if you'd like to achieve a prelude sized (11") brake system on your EX. I dunno if you know, but Fastbrakes sells a mounting kit + custom rotors (prelude sized) for this specific scenerio.

Here's a few links to their products...

Their 11" front rotor dubbed "SpecR Rotor" made for 4x100 lug pattern:

(you use this rotor in conjunction with an actual prelude caliper which bolts right up to your EX knuckle)

Their 11" front clalipers here:

and their 11" rear brake kit here:

hit up Brian (owner of Fastbrakes) if you have any further questions about his kits.

Never heard of using Prelude rear brakes on a Civic.

I've seen Prelude front brakes on a 94 Civic DX coupe done before.
