we need more info. stock ecu? stock injectors? what mods to u have?

you need to find out what the problem is first before you can fix it. running rich and burning oil are two TOTALLY different things. as far as I know, blue/black smoke is usually an indication of oil burning and not running rich. If you are running rich then obviously we need more info on the set up and you need to lean it out with some kind of tuning device or smaller injectors. if you are burning oil, check your plugs and they will be shot.

I used to use M1. Then used Schaeffers all last year. Now I'm back on M1.

You know what? It all burns the same. 10w-30, 15w-40, 5w30.... all the same. Maybe a few oils burn less... but I've tried 4 brands - its all the same on the track - below 75F nothing happens. Above - lots of burning.

Our engines run hot, and when the out side air temp (or track temp) is above a certain level, we will burn oil. Some more than others.

I burn VERY little oil when the outside air temp is below 75F. I burn progressively more oil (on the track only) as the outside air temp goes up above 75F.

We all need oil temp gauges and oil coolers.

If you burn oil it's because your seals or rings are bad...it's not because of the oil.

Motor is practically new with only 35k miles on it. Black smoke? If so you're running rich..

check your oil pressure valve just in case cuz mine broke on me and it could have something to do with it....if not then it could be internal...but for 35k you sure nothing was re-built?
