Mini-me on CRX
Hi, I got a question about mini-me. I am thinking about doing but I am not sure if its worth the money. If you have it done to your CRX, would you mind giving me your opinion please. I am not trying to get into 12s, all I want is to get more torque out of my baby and have a functioning VTEC. Thanks
From experience, I'd NOT do it unless you had to. I actually did the entire Z6 swap because I blew my previous motor's head gasket and got the Z6 for a song. Even getting it cheap didn't make the job suck any less, and the outcome wasn't too great either. I'd say don't do it unless you've gotten a deal you can't refuse.
i donno i haven't had any problems w/ my mini me -a check engine light for map sensor and code 3. other than that i love my mini me w/ 175000 miles it runs quicker than a 96 gsr w/ n1 catback and aem cai
Okay, what is the total cost of doing mini-me right? With all the electornics working, gaskets and etc. Also, do you need to change the bolts when you change you head? Thank you
i donno why i got those codes. yet.... still looking into it. it's been running well though, besides my clutch being messed up. fix that next week. i have a 94 sohc vtec head, w/ the non vtec dist. fields vtec controller (not reccomended) and fpr off a 94 ex. mr gasket head, intake, and exhaust gaskets. haven't run it yet. faster than a 96 gsr and a 89 supra turbo
complete head (w/ fpr, vtec solenoid, and valve cover) 150$
Gaskets 85$ (mr gasket gaskets- intake, exhaust, head)
misc stuff 50$ (oil, oilfilter, coolant, plugs, ect...)
APEXi VAFC 300$
