wierd pic of horizontal damper, any guesses?
anyone know why that is there? i cant really tell the purpose of it, but it has to be functional in some way since the pic is of a jgtc car.
also, the car being full race, does anyone have any guesses as to why the rotors are so heavily slotted?
i cant understand how that would work at all. how would any of the cars downward force be properly transferred to the wheels with the strut mounted that way... please forgive my dumbness
it looks like an interesting variation of a typical pushrod suspension, which you would see in open wheel race cars like F1 vehicles. basically it transfers the vertical motion to horizontal using rods and angles as mentioned above. heres a great translated link explaining how they modified the JGTC NSX into a pushrod setup and why.
