BAD VIBRATION!!! HELP
I noticed today when I was driving that when i hit the gas in 4th gear and was under load at around 3500 rpms the car starts to vibrate so hard that the dashbord jumps. It feels like when you have wheel hop and everything jumps. Im thinking it might be an axel but im not sure. has anyone ever seen this before?
The passenger side axel feels nice and stiff but the driver side has back and forth play (when you pull and push it towards tranny and wheel) and where it slides onto the intermediate shaft there is alot of play also

it isnt your axels, it is most likley your hub bearings, jack up the car and shake wheel up and down left and right. The wheel should have NO give. If the wheel shakes even alittle then your hub bearing is going or gone. When you say you have bad vibrations it seems to me like the wheel is shakeing. If all your bolts are on right and it isnt your hub bearings, jack the car up some more and check your controll arm bushings, those bushings just go out of the blue and if they are cracked then your controll arm isnt stiff which means the wheels will be shakeing, thus leading to BAD VIBRATIONS! haveing a bad bushing is something alot of people overlook and just say ahhh its the axel. Then when you replace your axels and you still have the problem they say oh... guess it wasnt.
good luck.
btw it isnt your axels.

I checked all bolts, bushings, bearings, and lugs....nothing is loose, so i put the car up on jack stands and started it and let it idle...All seemed fine until i reved it up a little and as soon as i did i felt the vibration immediately so this is why i think its the axels, but if its not, what else can i look for?

um, it IS the axles. Why do you keep bumping it and saying the same thing?
He just said there is alot of play in his driver side axle, and the vibration doesn't start until a certain RPM under load. Actually it's usually at a certain speed in any gear, regardless of RPM. That is most definitely an inner CV joint that is gone.
Believe me I know, I experienced it twice on my old car and it was the same problem both times, first it was one axle, then the second time it was the other one.
