Default power window motor, need help!

ok guys i got my power window motor i bought from this guy off ebay in the mail today.it came off his 96 accord driver's side window. i have a 97. and after about an hour long install i finally got it in. i ended up having the take the gear and spool out both motors and rewinding the cable back around the spool and finagling the spool to line back up on the shaft it spins on. that was a pain. that way i could use my old regulator since the one that came with the new motor had the cables disconnected and was a little corroded. i got the spool rewound, packed the gear and everything back in their and tested it, and it spun the wrong way. so then i took it back apart to see if i assembled it backwards. Nope it wasnt backwards, it only spools one way. so i put it all back together and it still spins the wrong way. when i push the switch forward it rolls the window down, and when i push it back it goes up. (it does have one-touch roll up )

so here's my question, i really don't feel like taking the motor apart again, so i was thinking maybe if i find the wire that gives a (+) signal and the one that sends a (-) signal to the motor and cut them and switch them around. maybe it will spin the correct way. would this work?
the window has no problem going up or down. it works great i'm glad to finally be able to roll down my window. i went through a drive-thru today without opening my door.
i was thinking just re-solder the connections and cover them with some shrink tubing and tape them up really good i shouldn't have any corrosion problems.

oh yeah and what would you guys recommend to lube the regulator and window tracks? because my driver and passenger window roll up really slow, but go down really fast.

I don't know about switching the wire, but to lube the windows a liberal amount of silicone lubricant works wonders. Put a little in first and wipe them out with a rag to clean them, then put alot on and run them up and down. Go heavy on the front side because it is harder to lube.
