Default Power Acoustik vs. Rockford Fosgate

I want a new setup in my car and I have narrowed it down to the following:

12" power acoustik dual voice coil/comparable power acoustic amp

or

12" rockford fosgate dual voice coil/comparable rockford fosgate amp

the RF setup is about $100 more, is it worth it?

Right now I have a shitty pioneer 10"/pioneer amp and while it fills in for some bass, it doesn't have the kick or the boom that I want. I think going to a better quality 12 would get the job done.

Another possibility would be the same setup with a 10", I already have a box for a 10 too, obviously... opinions?

Thanks.

Rockford system should will give you a better sound, last you longer, and is overall a much better brand. If you concerned with the quality of the product and the quality of the sound go with rockford fosgate.

If you want blue neon light then go with the power accoustic.

But I'd rather just buy the neon seperate and have a nice system.

umm with my exoerience the power acoutics would be a better way to go.
they are way better then rf's because the dont heat up as bad and give off a little better sound through the speakers. trust me ive used both. and even thought power acoustiks is a no name brand its some bad *** **** unless u got with the really cheap stuff such as subs.
but in my opinion go with power acoutiks for the money and sound.

Well, here's what I did;

I already had a 10" in my car, a pioneer, maybe a $60 sub and a $100 pioneer amp. So I bought a $130 power acoustiks 10" sub (DVC, 600w rms) and a power acoustiks amp (560w rms).

Needless to say, I was dissapointed. Yes, it hit much harder, but didn't sound nearly as good. So I'm returning it, until I have the money to buy a solid 12" setup.

Thanks for the replies.
