skunk2 valve springs + stock retainers?
im currently runnin skunk2 stg.1 cams, skunk2 valve springs, skunk2 retainers. stock bottom end. i dont plann on runnin past 8.5k. im commin up on 20k on since i had the head done and its time to replace the ti retainers. my question is could i get away with puttin in my stock retainers? its just a daily driver only gunna see 8.5k ?

I recommend if you have the money is Toda valve spring retainers. More costly but great quality. My boy is running Toda spec B cams with those retainers and is doing fine.

ok so maybe i'm a tard,
and flame away if you wish, but i've never heard of ti retainers only being good for 20K. is it just skunks cause the company i got mine from did not mention anything about it. please explain why a product so widely used would have such a finite lifespan. not doubting just asking

yeah, if the valve springs allows so, using stock retainers is a great choice for daily driven since ti retainers gall and have to be replaced every 20k or so

im using like 1hotintegra's cam....stage 1, with spring and ti retainer...i wanna change to something wilder yet still mild....

i got my answer the other day from a few friends, i am going to go with Ti-retainers becasue i dont want to have a stock retainer fail at 9k
