I'm about to shell out the money to get either a DC sports JDM header or a Honda JDM header. I don't care about name just functionality. How good is the DC sports and how close is it to the authentic JDM honda one?

 

Does anyone know.

 

Get the JDM DC. If anything it's lighter and will give you a bit more of performance over the JDM ITR. The JDM DC has a true 2.5" collector. I have zero problems with mine so far.

 

Stay stock...I heard neither header provides any power. Maybe add another
cat while your at it to help flow!

Umm..take of the JDM..nawwww...I could never do that unless you have a Hytech for me as a replacement.

H: you should look into SMS or SMPS whatever his name is...look at his header/exhaust system...seems to be the same gains if not more then the JDM 4-1 plus a true 2.5 inch all the way thru exhaust syatem.

 

Well money is a factor here definently. Since I'm not working or I'd just purchase a TOda header. I've been borrowing your bottom half and I'd like to give it back. I looked @ it this way for price I'd be getting the DC JDM header (Which again I'm told is exactly like the Honda JDM) it be a worthwhile mod. The DC also has a 2.5 collector I'm told.

I really like my DC JDM header, for the money you can't beat it.

 

Get the DC SS JDM Header it's a great buy under four hundred, and has nice welds, and I hear it's a replica of the Mugen 4-1 not JDM ITR header.

P.S. I'm told the power it puts out is right with the Mugen, and for less than half the price you can't go wrong. IMHO

No TJ i haven't found a job yet. I'm resorting to retail jobs and even that isn't going to well. I'm starting to feel like nothing is gonna come up. I might be able to float one more month and then I'm in serious trouble.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was gonna get the ceramic (I could care less how it looks as long as its functional and has a 2.5 collector.

I'm leaning more towards it.

I heard the JDM header doesn't give you any real gains. Why not buy the J's Racing header? It's about 695$ I beleive. Thats cheaper than Spoon, Jun, or the rest of the Japanese tuners.

OH yeah, I think DC isn't too good because the primaries are smaller than the Spoon or Jun's for example. I forgot who told me this, but it was the fact that changed my mind about buying those two headers you just mentioned.

 

just get the damn JDM header hell u already got a cat.If u want come & get mine & just order me a new one. I won't be putting it on till next month anyway.

If I can get the same performance out what supposed to be exactly the same then why not save that money and do something useful with it (Like pay a bill). I think what I might do is steal ROb's JDM header and bring it with me and compare the 2 side by side (As much as possible) to be sure.

Oh yeah to poster that was talking about the primaries being smaller then JUN or MUGEN. That may be so but like I said I don't have all the money in the world and anything is better then setup I have currently. If I was gonna spend 900 bux plus I would have considered SPoons and TOda's headers.

No DON'T get the ceramic, because the ceramic will crack in a short period of time in most cases. Get the stainless steel it will last forever . IMHO

 

I dunno but I'm still getting the JDM 4-1. Seems more reliable than the DC. Whats up with your double/triple posts?

I'm kinda impatient. That's why I'll take Apexi GSR's JDM header with me and compare as best as I can visually the 2.

 

Yeah, just do that and figure out which looks better to you...

I'd go for the dc jdm w/ 2.5" collector too if I was looking for under $500.

Weight savings for that thing is another benefit... JDM header is so heavy compared to the dc...

And you can always sell it to an si guy or something too (when you get that full hytech header and exhaust that is).
