it never fails! i come outside from work and go to my car and see fingerprints all over my CF hood! one girl i work with came up to me and asked " what is that strange paint you put on your hood?!" and for the 84,254 times ive answered that it was a carbon fiber hood. then she says that she poked at it to see if it moved! everyday since ive had it i see a set of new fingerprints on it!! ARGH!!!


i think i should just get a graphic on the hood stating what its made of and not to touch it!

ahhh...i feel better now that ive vented!

i have like 5 cats in my court and i wakeup everyday and see cat prints on my hood....

I get fingerprints all over my windows all the time. Must be the type-r stickers....

 

Maybe because when you say it's "carbon fiber" people think it's some sort of cloth.

Plus, you can't help but to touch it. I touch my friend's CF hood all the time...and I also like popping the hood open and bouncing it up and down.

 

I love the people, why is your hood black? It doesn't match the car at all.

I think they touch it because they think it's going to feel rough. There always seem to be finger smudges in the dust on my CF hood. Oh well, as previously stated, at least they aren't keying it...

Drives me nuts when people ask "aren't you going ot paint it the same color as the car?"

 

that isn't ****, someone told me my paint on my hood is fading and it needs painted... NOT FUNNY, but the guy was really serious.

woah, same thing happened to me. I too have a CF hood on my R, and girl came up to me and asked how i got someone to paint the hood like that i thought it was pretty amusing.

no finger prints on my car, but i do have a lot of people SPITTING on my hood. oh well {sigh}

LOL< I am having the same problem as well, my whole car is clean free of smudges except my hood..kinda used to it though..
I really hates meets...I cleaned my car inside out, waxed it, and peoples will be touching the hood....

and when I first got my hood, whenever peoples asked about the hood, I will be trying to explain on why the hood is so light and blah blah blah blah..

nowadays, I told them it's just sticker...

 

Tell them it's straw woven cardboard, sharpied black.
