Big News In My Life
Well after over a year and a half of dating, Jenny and I got engaged this past Thursday while we were on vacation in the Virgin Islands. What can I say, I have finally found the right woman to spend the rest of my life with.

Congrats!
You've got some big stuff and trying times likely coming up with the wedding so just make sure you keep yourself focussed on the long term. Many couples report the wedding planning to be the toughest part of the marriage, especially if one or both of you have grand plans. When I got married, my only real goal was that I wanted to be married to her when it was all over with and the rest is of it is just fluff mostly for other people. Just try to keep it in perspective and it can make it much better.

Thanks for the kind words and advice. Luckily we are both pretty down to earth. We have already agreed that what ever we decide to do for a wedding it will be what we want, not what someone else wants. Both of us are very clear on what is important.

Best of luck, and as recommended previously, do as LITTLE wedding planning as possible...Remember everyone is there to see the beautiful girl in the big white dress, not the dork in the penguin suit..
