Default Full advance on timing only 14 deg. .... 1 tooth off on t-belt??

I timed my H22 build for the first time today and it was set at 8 degrees BTDC, so I advanced it, and found that at FULL advance it only goes to 14 degrees BTDC. Could it be that I'm retarded 1 tooth on my exhaust cam? Or I guess it would be both cams?? Since they're lined up I would have to change both cams? Cause I know I should be able to advance my timing a lot more than to 14 drgrees.

yeah your going to want to check your timing marks, set you cam gears at 0,0 and then line all your marks up, sounds like your cam is off possibly a tooth
