Default JRSC and AEM EMS

Does anybody have this setup? If so how much power did you gain on the tune? I know a shop that has a dyno and experience in tuning the AEM EMS and am trying to figure out if it is worth dishing out a 1000 bucks plus 300-500 for tuning and dyno time.

we did one recently. the car made good power despite over running the charger.

the guy had some tiny *** pully on there and was boosting up to about 11-12 psi from 3000 t0 4500 rpms then it fell off to 6psi at redline. at redline with only 6 psi it made about 250hp. i tuned it rich as **** (11:1 afr) b/c of the heat and stupid ammount of boost that thing was running. there was more power in the car but 11psi on a h22 with a jackson charger is NOT a good thing. intake temps were well over 200 deg. needless to say that motor blew b/c of the heat.. called up jackson and they said god himself could have tuned that car and it would have block b/c the charger isnt designed to go over 6psi in that application. the rebuild is almost complete. hopefully this time i can tune it for more power and not run it rich as ****.

Wow thanks for the info. What do you think is the safest psi to max boost at? I would say 8 or 9 maybe? Also what numbers was the car running before you started tuning it.

we didnt run it with the Jackson fuel management.. the kid didnt have the stuff.

according to jackson 6psi is all you should ever run with the charger, any "9psi" pully you see is NOT a jackson part. thats supposedly what this kid had was the 9psi pully but it was making more than 11psi and overrunning the charger.

My "9" psi pulley peaked out at 13 psi over the winter months. I don't run the 9 psi pulley any more, it doesn't produce much of a gain because of the much higher intake temps.

Which is making me wonder how Caz is doing with his setup and if he is incorporating that chill plate into his new setup...
