I got my 90 Accord LX. It seems to need a new lighter assembly and plastic

protector. If someone could give me some instructions on how to replace these

things or provide an illustration of installing I would appreciate it. Also when I pull

out the bottom console I see two little blue lights....what are they for and where do

they go exactly? One more thing...how do I replace the dome light bulb? Thanks

P.S. My current lighter assembly seems to flicker between working and not working when its not connected to the plastic protector. When I connect it the damn thing never works....Am I doing something wrong? Also is this an inexpensive mechanical because I just might do that and save me the aggravation....thanks

if you remove the center console you should have access to all the wiring etc etc and itll be very simple after that... dome light, just get a screw driver pop the plastic cover off, and remove the bulb and replace... reverse everything for installation.

 

Thanks, but where do those two little blue lights go......If I were to guess I would say one is for the ashtray and the other for the lighter, but where exactly do they go? Thanks.

 

yes, one is for the ash tray and one for the lighter. The ash tray one "swivels" in to place like a corner bulb socket. The lighter one clips into the square cut-out at the top of the lighter casing assembly. As for your lighter intermediatley working, check the connections behind the assembly. They are both slide-style connectors, and you may have to squeeze them a bit to make them stay on the lighter housing.
