I would say leave it gutted. gutted=mad JDM yo.

Nah for reals, you should do what you want. If you like it stripped, then leave it. If its a bit too cold and ghetto looking, then i say put back the interior. just my .02 cents.

might be possible that cops pull him over for whatever reason, see the inside of his car and profile him as a street racer and his chances of getting that ticket are higher?

My car was gutted like whoa no nothing just a driver's seat empty center console. Only been pulled over once and I got a ticket for no front plate and it was in the back cause I pulled my grille off to re "fit" it.. but he didn't say anything about the interior or anything and he was a newbie cop like early 20s and what not..

I dont think cops really care if your car is stripped or not as long as you arent doing anything illegal. If they do care, that is their problem then. You are the one that is driving the car. So keep the car the way you wanna keep it.

when cops write a ticket they should be referencing the specific law that they are saying you broke, on the ticket.

I would look up that specific law in your states motor vehicle laws and see if you have a case.

I would then request a court hearing and dispute the ticket. Oh, and unless you are very well spoken and have a fair grasp on courtroom proceedings, then hire a lawyer. Should only run up about $200-300 and most will only bill if they get the ticket dropped.

If you're daily driving it and it'll never see a track, there's no sense in having it gutted.

I'm so ******* confused I don't even know how to respond without swearing. Maybe if I wasn't woken up two hours early to diagnose my mother's laptop I might be able to respond... But not. This whole thread is so confusing to me.

afer a couple of tickets...there was no ticket? what the **** are you talkin' about dood? If you want your interior back, then put it all back in, if you wanna go super duper racer style but never hit the tracks keep yourself stripped yo!
Hehe, maybe I'm just in a bad mood or something cuz I never flame, hahaha.. I'm just so confused my head hurts.

haha I think the previous owner of my Jetta must've been hauling dogs (or clipping them in the backseat). I never got all that doghair out and I'm horribly allergic.

Hit up http://www.mcmaster.com and check out their automotive clips and plugs. They sell them in big bags of like 50, for like $10. It was a lifesaver when i did my ICE install in my EP3.

That's not true.

Here's the rules http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/vcpdftoc.htm

If you want to do something to your car, then look it up. Such as, if you lower your car you can find out how low is legal and also how low is allowed for the headlights.
You can find out if it's legal to drive with just the parking lights on (it's not). All sorts of stuff. If it's not stated as illegal in that book then it's not illegal.
