Default is higher compression better than more displacement?

in my possesion i have a full d16z6 motor and a full d15b2 motor (Dx) .. i want to build one powerful motor.. i know puttin the z6 head on the dx block will be about 10.1 to 1 compression but then its only a 1.5 L bott end. but with the z6 bottom end comp is only about 9.1 to 1 . would it be better to build the z6 and use it or mix and match? non turbo or nos .. also what if i take the DX pistons and rods and put tehm in the z6 block that would make compression more but would it run ok?
