Is the Speedvision WC doomed?
So, what will happen now besides a name change? And besides the Speedvision World Challenge, what about the ALMS? Seems like the ALMS was pretty closely tied to Speedvision...
And doesn't NAS(S)CAR own the Grand Am series? Is there a conflict of interest between Grand Am and ALMS? I'm guessing there are rules differences between the two, but it looks to me like we're going to see a lot more of the Grand Am series than the ALMS in the future. (if we see either one)
Also, does anyone know if they're going to continue with WRC coverage next year? IMO, they can trash nearly everything else, but if they get rid of WRC then that really bites.

Hmmm... Ive been trying to come up with ideas lately about employment and such. Ive been brainstorming buisness ideas, and this just hit me...
Since Speedchannel channel is going down the drain....maybe we could start a channel of our own! Until we get the WRC, ALMS, F1, etc contracts we could just put all our in car tapes together and air that...
The ECHC started here...why not this!???

Let's not for get that this race series has been around for a lot longer than speedvision. In fact, it just became Speedvision Cup a couple of years ago. Whether the name changes or not, the series won't die. It's still SCCA World Challenge, they just need a new source of sponsorship which shouldn't be too hard considering the recent growth of the series.
