Default Resetting ECU on a 94 Civic with a battery backup?

I reset my ECU today and have a battery backup on my alarm. I wasn't sure if the backup battery would effect it or not. So here is what I did...disconnect neg. battery terminal and removed both the ECU fuse and backup fuse. I let it sit like that for 15 minutes and then put everything back and let it idle for 15 minutes without touching anything. Did this reset my ECU? Did it matter that I had a battery backup?

as far as i know NO it should not.. that backup battery only operates the alarm and is triggered to power the alarm when it loses power from the main car battery! am i correct??

also, just a side note, to reset Honda ECU's you only have to pull the fuse for 15 seconds
