Cleaning my iacv
My b18c5 threw a code about a month ago and it was for the idle air control valve. Ive heard instead of getting a new one, you can try cleaning it instead. Any pics or instructions on what needs to be done?

I think he means 'idle air control valve'. Use some carb cleaner on it, the one in spray. And some compressed air, it will force all the crap out of it and it will be as good as new.
it's aight to spray the carb cleaner in the ports throughout the iacv? im just makin sure, paranoid. We are talking about the piece on the back of the intake manifold correct?
In the world of Honda's it actually is IAC... I just use brake cleaner which I'm sure works just as well as carb cleaner but being a little less flamable.
