hey everyone. i just got a used 92 accord dx 142k miles when i turn it hard or hit a bump at speed there is like a "clunk" noise coming from the front wheel area. i dont know if its the springs or like a ball joint. any one have any ideas let me know. thanks

 

When was the last time the CV's were checked?

 

they looked fine. there were not tears in the boots or leaks i could see. anything else i need to look at?

 

what about checkin your struts and bushings?

 

yeah, i think its the struts the look like they have alot of wear.

 

i would check the struts or tie rod end..

Did you ever think that you might weigh too much for the car...that "clunking" noise is your car having a seizure. i'm just messin w/ ya

 

good call, i think you have it solved! maybe my springs are pissed off that i am fat.. btw hows the teg hit anymore concrete poles?

 

Make sure your bearings are straight. You can tell if they need to be replaced if you lift the front end up, remove wheels. If you can wiggle your rotors...change the bearings out.

 

sounds like it might be the struts i had the same problem with my accord.
