Draft:Newly replaced brake pads are squeaky (2001 Accord EX)
Friends, recently I began hearing a squeak from my brakes. I determined it was the normal Honda alert indicating I needed new brake pads. I have performed the procedure on my previous Honda, a 1992 Accord EX.
I replaced the front disk brake pads on my 2001 Accord EX, and everything went just as smoothly as I expected. The only thing I did differently this time was that I applied some of that CRC Disk Brake Quiet spray on the new shims.

The problem is, my brakes squeak like crazy (only when I'm braking). I assumed that ok, well, there must be a break-in period for these new pads. But after 3 days, it has not changed. Anybody know what I can do here?

i don't see the shims on the pads.. and you didn't apply the crc as directed (but not sure if that makes a difference).

I was gonna ask the same question. Honda pads are pretty quiet compared to a lot of aftermarket pads. Especially if you put on a $20 cheapo pad set. If you did, goto Honda and buy a set of pads. Cheap pads lead to chewed up rotors.
