Drummond Motor Sports (DMS) Shocks - Input?
We have a Street Mod Civic in the Northwest running on DMS Suspension.
The owner and co-driver (who is the former owner of the car) love the suspension.
I'm just wondering if there are others out there running this setup and what their opinions are?
Anyone know of other road cars with this setup?
Here is a link to their webpage http://www.dmshocks.com
I'm looking for all feedback whether positive or negitive.

They're real popular with the Subaru crowd. I can't even tell you how many times I've seen a DMS vs. (whoever) debate. They're also built like tanks. I believe it was at the Cherokee Trails rally this year, a car hit a tree, broke both top and bottom shock mounts and the strut was still straight. Of course this was the 50mm rally strut. Since they're designed for rallying, they have lots of compression adjustment (20 or 30 settings) and limited rebound adjustment (4).
For road use, I believe most people use the DMS Golds.
I don't know what the going price for the Golds are, but l recently saw that the rally shocks for a Honda were only $2600.

If memory serves, the DMS shocks can be had with up to 60mm shaft diameter. Monstrous, but I guess that's what you need for rally. Having seen the same DMS-equipped car as SlowSER, they are pretty darn impressive. Double-progressive springs with that setup as well. I think the DMS Gold setup uses a 40mm shaft, and is considered more of a "street" performance shock. I believe they can be had for around $1700 for a WRX, so I'd assume that's a decent ballpark figure.
