Lugs
When you guys installed rims, did you get new lugs or did you just use the stock ones? I got new ones on my old car, but it's totaled and I didn't know if I needed them to put my rims on a new car. Thanks.

Clint you'll need to find out what kind of lugs your rims require. There are rims you aren't supposed to use aftermarket lugs on, and vice versa. Some poeple mix and match but it's not safe. Check those links im sure it has the information you need regarding tapered and acorn style lug nuts. You could always ask the manafactuer of the wheels as well what kind of lug style you need for your wheels.
when i bought my car it had the wrong type of lugs on the wheels. acorn on conical seating. i didnt know any better so i didnt think much of it. crossthreaded quite a few studs, and some of the nuts kept backing out while driving around. ruins your studs and ruins your lugnuts, and it's definitely not safe.. dont do it.
