anyone have pics of Typhoon/AEBS intake manifold?
i have seen mostly pics of the polished manifold....i dont really like polished things i want to see some pics of the satin finish manifold....would like to see it mounted on a motor also....
well i have been doing some searching and it seems to produce more power than a ITR manifold and is cheaper, so that means i need one
im building a B17A1 and the IM looks like ***, so i want something else, it will be a turboed motor....

I recall hearing somewhat decent things about it, mainly stemming from its cost effectiveness. No pics though...
BTW Are you from Kent/Southcenter? Trying to figure out riceboy, WA...

This type of manifold are not only good for all motor. It can be use for both. people use ITR manifold on boosted cars and they see good result. So if the AEBS intake manifold make more power then a ITR manifold. There will be good power output with turbo using this manifold.
here a pics of mine.

My friend got one and is installing it on a stock ITR engine in his EF Civic. It looks much nicer than the B16 manifold it's replacing. Satin finish, pretty rough actually, but the flanges look perfectly flat and it seems like a nice solid piece. It also seems shorter than the B16 IM - the plenum that is. For the price, I was impressed.

I second that question.
I second that question.
Actually I can get these all day long for a good deal. Im just interested in what the price people are paying and where are they buying from.
well these are cheaper and have produced better dyno numbers...
they are all over eBay.... search: "B16 intake manifold"

How do you figure it's a POS? Do you have any intellegent proof to back that statement up? I have seen two dyno results of more power from Aebs manifold on a bolt on Itr, so I give it credit for making more power than an already nicely designed oem manifold.
Some people complain that it doesn't look as good as other manifolds, but for $160 who's cares. If they made one for an Ls it would already be on my car.
Itr/Skunk make similar #'s as those are basically the same manifold. This manifold makes more power it half the price of it's Skunk2 counterpart.
I give it a
Also as a reference my friend Double121 installed this on his LS vtec Turbo Si, on 15 psi Peak power stayed the same but he gained 30hp throughout his powerband. For $160 I wouldnt be complaining

I have seen one in person. The casting looks like crap, and the inside casting finish also looks like crap. All the dyno numbers I have seen only show like 1 hp over a Type-R, and you can get more than 1 hp difference just from dyno run to dyno run. That's no where near the 20 hp gain that they claimed on the manifold in the begining....and I have still yet to see back-to-back dyno runs that can even get close to advertised gains.
Its just a cheaply made chinese manifold. All the vacuum fittings are glued in, and have heard of some popping out.
In my opinion, 1 hp isn't worth the effort in changing manifolds, and I prefer the factory finish of a manifold over the AEBS manifold.
The AEBS manifold is made by Professional Products, and all they do is copy manifold designs from other companies and have it produced overseas. They claim on domestic V8 manifolds to beat the companies that they copy, but looking at port designs and the overall quality of the manifolds, I highly doubt they do. The only thing they can deliver is a cheap price, but you get a cheap part.
I'd never run one on my personal car.

The casting doesn't look like crap, it looks like it has a rough surface... IMO of course. Hardly crap, just a rough surface. It would be a crap casting if there were beads all over the place, rough edges around the flanges or warped flanges, etc. It will bolt up, and when bolted up, it has been proven to make more power than ITR... hardly crap IMO.
this post isnt about your opinions of the manifold, i have already read shitloads of them from searching.......BUT STILL NO PICS?!?!?!
Crikey man, what do you want me to say?
No no pics, I don't have a digicam. It looks like a freakin' manifold, what do you think the pics will tell you?
It will still just look like a manifold. Go to the store and look at one; pics won't likely make a world of difference.

well i have seen pics of the manifold by itself. does anyone have pics of the manifold bolted up to a motor with the hoses run. Im interested to see how they routed them since the vacuum connections are in different places.
