When bolting up your intercooler on your 92-95 civic.........

I bolted up 2 johnnyracecar intercoolers on 92-95 civics and I am lost how people do it so that it fits the grill perfectly.

I just bolted it to the bottom of the support bar and on both of them when you look through the grill it is like 2" space you see....

Do you guys ususally have to hack the support bar in half? or just ditch it? or what is done and how are these normally installed? Please post pictures id appreciate it. thanks
