hi this is my first log in a long time, i just recently finished rebuilding my car, i crashed it and practically destryoed it. so yeah umm im getting a used tranny for my car its a jdm one, i want to know the tranny codes for the auto transmissions, this guy is selling me a jdm tranny and i want to know if its really jdm, ohh and my motor is an h23. im not really into speed anymore, after 2 accidents iam out, but im just keeping my car all jdm. can anyone help me?

why an auto transmission, if i can ask? they are not known to be Honda's best...especially on Preludes.

 

yea all prelude trannys suck
but why would you want a JDM auto tranny? i dont think any one can tell be just looking at it. it is not worth the extra money(if any)
this might help a little but i think the 5th gen trannys are the same for jdm and usdm
M2U4 = 5th gen SH tranny
M2Y4 = 5th gen Base tranny
M2F4 = 4th gen VTEC tranny
M2A4 = JDM 4th gen VTEC tranny (same as M2F4)
M2B4 = JDM 4th gen VTEC tranny w/ LSD
