What tire size is best for civics rolling on 15x6.5 rims?
I'm thinking about replacing my tires, and I can't seem to decide which tire size is best for my civic. I have 195/50/15's on right now and there's an ugly gap between the tires and car. Everybody says ppl go with the 205/50 series if your car is significantly lowered. But what if yours not? With the 195/55 series, it wouldn't probably rub.
Being wider, does it makes the handling better on a 15x6.5 size rim?
My car is lowered on some H&R's so the rear is barely drop at all(1.5 inch). It looks almost if it was still at stock height. I know my current fenderwell space can handle a "55" series tire. If i put on the 205/50 size, would it tuck up as nice as the 195/55 size?
Does anybody have any suggestions? and Why?

Wider tires will not yield better handling. Wider tires are only good for better braking potental and acceleration. Also, it can (usally) support more weight, which isn't really a concern for our cars.
The sidewall height of a 205/50 tire is almost idental to the 195/55 tire. i would be surprised if you could tell the difference between the two. Therefore, you really shouldn't see a difference between the two tires.
My rear is about 2 in lower than stock. With the 205, I can't stick my fingers between the fender and the tire, but it never rubs, so I wouldn't worry about that either.
IMO, I would go for the 205/50. Even with the 205's I lose traction on dry pavement in 1st gear, on really sticky Bridgestone S03's. That's with a LSD too!

Most commonly we run 195/50's... Sidewall wise don't go anything smaller than 50 with a 195 tire, it starts looking way out of proportion.

i would get 195/55's. my car is lowered 2 1/2 and they dont rub. i chose to get those because with a smaller sereis tire the car looks like there's a big gap between the tire and the fender.
