I need help! I put a 92cx engine in my 90Dx crx and having a problem need advice!!
Ok to start the stock engine took a poop, so I got a good deal on a dx engine+trans installed the whole deal and the Engine was No good. So next we pull the whole engine out and try and find another Dx engine we found NOTHING that we could use but we found a good deal of the Cx engine from a 92
We had to swap alot of the Dx engine stuff to the Cx engine so the only problem really was the Dx Dual Point manifold onto the Cx engine. The ports on the engine are DIFF then the Dx Manifold ports, It bolted up fine but when we got it started it just started pumping out White smoke from coolant. and i have a REALLy high idle it stays at like 4K Im just wondering if anyone has any ideas of what I can do or if they have done this swap. Anyway Im gonna try and find a Dx head and throw that on the Cx block so the manifold will bolt up
NEED HELP!!

you didnt have to open the engine up for anything did you?
i dont think that it should start taking coolant from changing the intake manifold. maybe the engine isnt good to begin with!

make sure your throttle cable is adjusted correctly...and the TPS voltage reads the correct range from closed to wide open.
did you play with the throttle stop screw at all?

the cx (d15b8) is an 8 valve engine...not sure if the pistons will have 2 or 4 valve reliefs. search and ye shall find....
i dont think that is your problem though
